What we do.
Bay Arts Alliance (BAA) serves as the local non-profit arts agency of Bay County. Our principle goal is to foster a lifelong appreciation and enjoyment of the Arts by providing opportunities for cultural enrichment in our community through broad-based educational experiences and quality performances.
We host a monthly arts luncheon that encourages open communication between community arts organizations, and provides info and resources with other arts groups. Bay Arts Alliance collaborates with more than 50 arts and culture organizations throughout Bay County.
Our Arts in Education program brings the components of fine arts, music, performance, visual arts, history and heritage, to the children and students of our community. Bay Arts provides free national touring performances to all first, third & fifth grade Bay County students each year; busing is provided by Bay County Schools. We organize the annual Very Special Arts Festival for children with disabilities, and routinely conduct activities in community outreach, in-school and after-school programs.
We host BayArtsEvents.com – public community events calendar, local organizations and businesses can publish their activity or event for FREE.
We manage two public venues – see our Venue Management page for more info.
Bay Arts Alliance efforts with community arts organizations has contributed to Panama City’s recognition as the sixth best small arts town in the nation. BAA will continue to respond to the changing needs of our community with innovation and dedication.
